Who I Am
In addition to working in private practice, I have over twenty years of experience working in psychiatric and psychotherapy services in the NHS. During this time I have provided consultations and treatment for people struggling with a wide range of relational, emotional and mental health difficulties. I also have extensive experience of offering psychoanalytically informed supervision to other mental health professionals in the NHS and voluntary sector.
I trained as a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist with the Scottish Association of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists (SAPP). As a registered member of SAPP and also the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC), I am bound by and committed to their Codes of Ethics and high professional standards. This includes a requirement of continuing professional development, through training and regular supervisory consultations.
SAPP and the BPC are accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
